Austria’s team showed an improving form 71 days before the start of the European Championships in Gothenburg (22 to 27 August).

“The field at the European Championships is a strong mass, the Danes have improved, Germany is already in its own league with Isabell Werth, who currently has 3 horses in the top 10 in the world,“ said Achleiten boss and dressage Olympic champion Elisabeth Max-Theurer in the ORF interview (summary of the CDI4* Achleiten on ORF Sport + on Thursday, 15 June, from 8.15 p.m.). “But our team presented itself in very good shape.“

Above all, Belinda Weinbauer and Söhnlein Brilliant MJ with their victory with their personal record score on Saturday in the Freestyle. “Belinda is really well mounted, harmonious with Söhnlein and constantly improving,“ said Elisabeth Max-Theurer. “But Astrid Neumayer consistently shows good performances as well. Also Evelyn Haim-Swarovski, Christian Schumach and Renate Voglsang are well on the way. Vici had a lot of bad luck here, but recently, in Munich, she showed how good Blind Date had become again; they were very close to the victory as 2nd.“

Mentioned Victoria Max-Theurer is confident despite the mishap with Blind Date, when they had to drop out of the Grand Prix of the Special Tour on Friday due to an allergic reaction of the horse (pollen or insect bite), “We have already moved Blind Date again, she has no complaints, the swelling in the nose is gone. She is currently in top shape, so I am looking forward to the show in Fritzens at Schindlhof in three weeks in which outstanding athletes like Isabell Werth will participate. And, of course, to the final qualifying for the European Championships at the tournament in Germany, at the stud farm Vorwerk in Cappeln.“
