€ 110.000 Euro for mountain farming family

At the Equestrian Reception of the Sportunion Riding Club Schloss Achleiten the record amount of € 110,000 was collected at the traditional charity auction on Saturday evening.

Each and every year, the Max-Theurer family and their guests dedicate themselves to charity in the framework of the CDI4* in Achleiten. The proceeds from the action of inseminations of approved and international, certified stallions as well as of one foal each from the studs Vorwerk (Cappeln, GER), Paul Schockemöhle (GER), Stall Böckmann (GER), Bonhomme (GER), Dressage Grand Ducal (Christof Umbach’s Luxembourg stud), Gestüt Sprehe (GER) and Gestüt Frech (Upper Austria) will be used for the support of an Upper Austrian mountain farming family that has been dealing with strokes of fate.

Six years ago, the family farmhouse burned down, but the damage was not fully covered by the insurance. The family lives in the mountain farming zone. The father (46) is suffering from cancer. He had an operation. At the moment, he is still in intensive care. So the mother (42) is currently looking after the five children aged 4, 6, 8, 16 and 18 and the farm on her own. One of the children is severely physically impaired.

The story and the words of auction host Charly Preihs opened the hearts and wallets of the guests of the Equestrian Evening at Schloos Achleiten. The Sportunion Riding Club Schloss Achleiten was happy about a record sum of € 110,000 after the auction.
